Who are those parents at the traffic circle each morning?
The parents who are at the Traffic Circle each morning are there to help ensure the safety of our children. We need all parents who drop their children off at the Traffic Circle to please:
- Give good-bye hugs and kisses before entering the Traffic Circle.
- Drive cars COMPLETELY around the circle before stopping to let the children out.
- NEVER PASS a stopped car. Children may be getting out on the driver side and this seriously endangers them.
- Let children out on the passenger side only of the car.
- Stay in your car. If you need to get out to help your child, pull into the parking lot area to do so.
- Follow the directions of the school staff and volunteers to ensure safety and efficient traffic flow.
Also, it is helpful to arrive at school before 8:45 to ensure the children have enough time to get to class. The traffic circle is a very busy and possibly dangerous area. By following the rules, going slowly and paying attention we can all work together to make this a safer area for our children.
