What: Classroom teachers depend on room parents for a variety of reasons. From planning class parties (Halloween and Valentine’s Day), to contacting families and finding volunteers, room parents serve a vital role in our school. Room parents also traditionally organize holiday, birthday, and/or end-of-the-year gifts for the classroom teacher. This committee creates a way to contact all families in the class (either by phone tree or e-mail list); plans class parties; organizes gift giving; contacts families to identify volunteers for class, school, and /or PTA events.

Needed: Volunteers to be room parents for their class.
