About the Committee
What: The GT Committee provides support and resources to the families of gifted and talented students. The goals of this committee are to educate parents and students following GT designation and provide support and relevant resources throughout the year. The GT Committee will share school-wide and county-wide information on a variety of relevant topics on gifted education. Information given to parents and students will help families determine the most appropriate educational route for their child and, along with their teacher, maintain a consistent dialogue to ensure that the child is thriving in his/her current learning environment. Our goal is to not promote a “one size fits all” approach regarding accelerated instruction, but to be a resource for every family at FKES.
When: Duration of school year.
Needed: Volunteers to assist chair as needed.
