What: The vision of the FKES HAL committee is to provide support and resources to the families of gifted and talented students. This support will be provided to students who’ve been identified as “GT” and throughout their enrollment at Forest Knolls. The goals of this committee are educate parents and students following GT designation and provide support and relevant resources throughout the year. The HAL committee will utilize creative methods to share school-wide, county-wide information on a variety of relevant information on gifted education. Information given to parents and students will help families determine the most appropriate education route for their child and along with their teacher, maintain a consistent dialogue to ensure that the child is thriving in his/her current learning environment. Our goal is to not promote a “one size fits all” approach regarding accelerated instruction, but to be a resource for every family at FKES.
Needed: Volunteers to assist chair as needed.
